Navigating Challenging Conversations

Transformational Conversations

have the power to move individuals and groups

beyond problem-solving and analysis, and toward

ownership of and commitment to a new direction.

What is the difference between engagement and buy in?

What questions hold the power to invite ownership?

What conversations will lead beyond problem-solving, and unlock transformation?

The transformation journey

By inviting participants to a shared presence and into dialogue, we help to create a sense of relatedness . . . to each other and to the issue in question.

Grounded in this relatedness, we engage in a series of conversations that empower ownership, both of the situation as it is AND of the possible new direction that might be created.

Energized by this possibility, we invite commitments toward a new direction, and encourage self-accountability.

A new context for transformation

A NEW APPROACH

The Authentic Experience is dedicated to facilitating the conversations through which you can create a new context - of community, ownership, abundance, possibility, commitment and self-accountability.

In this new approach, each participant becomes owner and leader.  Accountability and authentic presence contribute to an enduring commitment, and to a leadership that is infused throughout the organization.  Within this new context, the limitations of problem-solving give way to lasting change - transformation!

According to Daniel Kim, a well recognized leader in the systems approach to organizational and leadership development, "Structure drives behavior.  So, if you want a different behavior from the one you are getting, you must figure out a way to change the structures that are producing the behavior, rather than trying to change the behavior directly."

Transformormational conversations create the space, ownership and relationship within which organizations and communities can systemically address the structures that will lead to the behaviors they desire in their members.
